Project Architect / Project Interior Designer - Office Interiors

Joel Laseter Architect PC is a small, established architectural firm with a pleasant midtown office on the third floor of 100 Colony Square overlooking the corner of Peachtree and 14th Street. We have a position available for a versatile project architect or project interior designer.
Our immediate need is for help in preparing space planning, schematic design and construction documents for office interiors projects in Atlanta, and for help in selecting finishes for these projects. We calculate BOMA tenant areas, maintain lease log plans, prepare ADA surveys and other assessments, and consult on codes for office developer and institutional clients. The projects range in size from 2,000 SF to more than 100,000 SF. We also have residential projects, including new houses, renovations, and additions, as well as condominium interiors.

Joel Laseter, AIA received his B.A. in architecture from Yale in 1976, and his M.Arch. from Georgia Tech in 1981. At Georgia Tech, he received a National Endowment of the Arts thesis grant for his work Visionary Urbanism in Atlanta. He started Joel Laseter Architect PC in 1995, and was a partner at Randall and Laseter, Architects from 1983 until that time.
Education, training, experience:
The position requires a professional degree from an accredited institution and proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software. Significant experience in accurate field measurement of existing conditions and preparation of interior architectural construction documents is needed. Experience with other design software (Revit, Sketchup, Photoshop) is beneficial. Design, presentation, and communication skills are valued, as is a pleasant, engaged manner. A master’s degree and professional registration are desirable.
