Job description:
Summary:
Responsible for the quality control and specifications writing for all architectural projects. Also responsible for the administration of all project and company specific contracts and insurance. Assists the Architecture Department Manager in development and enforcement of standards for design projects.

Essential Functions:
• Define architectural standards
• Responsible for reviewing and redlining drawings
• Responsible for reviewing and coordinating project and company specific contracts
• Responsible for preparation and coordination of project specifications
• Serve as a mentor and technical resource for project managers
• Responsible for preparation of professional design and consulting services agreements
• Accompanies the Project Designer/Project Manager on all construction observation visits including maintaining observation notes and photographs

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
• Registered Architect
• LEED Green Associate required, LEED AP preferred
• Minimum 10 years of experience within the Architectural profession
• Sustainable design experience preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD or an equivalent design documentation software package required
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit or an equivalent BIM software package preferred
• Experience preparing Project Manuals, including project specifications
• Experience in construction administration
• Previous experience developing architectural standards
• Experience with Masterspec or a similar software package
• Experience in interpreting and preparing contracts, especially professional design and consulting services agreements
• Proficient in understanding construction and vendor contract terms and requirements
• Experience preparing specifications for government, commercial, and residential projects
• Expertise in construction detailing, engineering coordination, and specifications coordination
